Our Work > CHW
Community Health Workers
We have been training and collaborating with community health workers (CHWs) since 1986 to promote breastfeeding, provide pregnancy and birthing support, and prevent infant mortality.
True peer counselors, Community Health Workers improve community health by linking communities and health care systems. CHWs work neighbor-to-neighbor, teen-to-teen, refugee-to-refugee, mother-to-mother, one connection at a time.

Why now?
While our maternal child health outcomes are abysmal, the US spends more than any other developed country in the world on health care.
